LESTER PETRILLO MEMORIAL FUND FOR DISABLED MUSICIANS

The Lester Petrillo Memorial Fund for Disabled Musicians provides a modest grant, usually from $100 to $400, to disabled musicians who are members of the AFM. James C. Petrillo, former President of the American Federation of Musicians, created this Fund in 1951 with his own personal check in the amount of $10,000 in memory of his son, Lester, who died in 1931 at the age of 13.

To qualify for financial assistance from this Fund, a member must be disabled (temporarily or permanently). When application for assistance is made, s/he must meet the following requirements:
Blue DotThe application form must be filled out factually and completely;
Blue DotApplications may be received once per year;
Blue DotA recent doctor's certificate summarizing the nature of the disability must be sent with the application.
The Trustees of the Fund have complete discretion in determining eligibility and the amount of benefits.
