TEMPO802
BACK TO BENEFITS & SERVICES MAIN MENU

TEMPO802 is the union's Political Action Fund. TEMPO802 makes it possible for Local 802 to help those candidates for elected office who champion the rights of musicians and working people.
Each of us, our families, and our neighborhoods, are profoundly affected by decisions made in Washington, Albany, and Trenton and in New York's City Hall. When government cuts arts funding, our jobs are threatened. When the State legislature takes steps to turn us into independent contractors, our union, our pension and all of our rights are endangered. And when government continues to ignore this nation's health care crisis we all suffer.
CAMPAIGN FOR TEMPO802
TEMPO802 needs the help and support of every Local 802 member. During the next two years, we will face an extremely important election cycle that will set the political agenda well into the 21st century. In the year 2000, there will be both presidential and congressional elections. In the year 2001, an entirely new City Council will be elected in New York because of term limits in the city charter. The need for TEMPO802 has never been greater.
YOU CAN HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Local 802 urges every member to pledge a dollar a week to TEMPO802. Fifty-two dollars a year is a worthwhile investment to help insure that the needs and interests of musicians become part of the political debate. Make your check or money order payable to TEMPO802 and mail to:
