Band Together Rally at Disney+

Next week, Disney launches its Disney Plus streaming service. The company expects between 60 and 90 million subscribers in the next five years, which will generate billions upon billions of dollars. Yet, they are demanding that musicians scoring the shows and movies for Disney Plus make 75% less than when they work for Disney’s theatrical and broadcast TV productions!

Musicians are coming together to demand a fair contract in streaming. Our work is vital to bringing television and movies to life, but the studios are refusing to pay musicians industry standard wages and residuals in made for new media production. We have been fighting hard around the country and now we are going to bring the campaign directly to Disney’s door! Join us from 12-1 PM outside Disney Streaming Services (75 9th Ave.) For more information, contact Alex Tindal Wiesendanger, AFM Lead Organizer, at (347) 558-3962 or alextw@afm.org and RSVP on Action Network here.
