CSO Solidarity Rally

Join us at Lincoln Center for a solidarity rally on Friday, April 12, at 1:30 PM, as we show the Chicago Symphony Orchestra that New York musicians support our colleagues, the Musicians of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, in their fight.

For a full month, musicians at the Chicago Symphony, one of the most well-respected music institutions in the world, have been walking the picket line. CSO musicians walked off the job on March 10 after eleven months of negotiations, which stalled when management refused to budge on their proposal to end the orchestra’s defined benefit plan.

On Friday, 802 musicians from every genre and venue across the New York music scene will stand together at Lincoln Center to show our solidarity with the CSO musicians. Though we may play different venues and perform vastly different repertoires, 802 musicians are united for fair working conditions for all musicians. We are #802strong.
