The Bulletin Board – Pension Fund Documents Are Online and They Are Free

Welcome to Bulletin Board, Local 802’s new blog, intended to contribute news and information relating to issues currently concerning our membership. Bulletin Board will be a space in which we will share information about topics that directly affect us and our careers, from workplace concerns and industry challenges, to legislation, pension, and health care information.

Have a suggestion about what we might address? Let us know!

Looking for information about the Pension Fund? Documents are Online and They Are Free.

Pension Fund Documents are free. That’s right, you don’t have to pay for them. The Pension Fund has altered their longstanding policy and is making documentation free and available digitally. This is great news, and we encourage musicians to examine this info closely as we discuss the future of our pension. President Tino Gagliardi and Executive Board communications subcommittee members Bud Burridge, Sara Cutler, Martha Hyde, and Wende Namkung stand ready to help “translate” the rather dense information.

To access this FREE documentation, create an online profile with the AFM-EPF. You need your pension ID number (found on your yearly earnings report mailed to you by the fund) or you can use your email address. You will need to create a password. Log into the participant portal and select anything you like. Many folks are interested in “Financial Information.” Select that and an array of information, available as downloads, will appear.
