Welcome to Bulletin Board, Local 802’s new blog, intended to contribute news and information relating to issues currently concerning our membership. Bulletin Board will be a space in which we will share information about topics that directly affect us and our careers, from workplace concerns and industry challenges, to legislation, pension, and health care information.
Have a suggestion about what we might address? Let us know!
Do you perform private events, weddings, and parties? Do you do private teaching, recording, or arranging work? NewYorkMusicians.com is Local 802’s online musician directory, through which employers can hire you for gigs under union contracts. Local 802 members are eligible to create free profiles to promote their individual work, and ensemble/band profiles to promote their band, chamber group, or large ensemble.
How to Enroll:
- Create your profile, including a description of the services you offer, your bio, photos, and links to your music.
- Electronically sign and return the Local 802 Referral Service General Rules Agreement and the Local 802 Website Rules Regulations Agreement found at the bottom of the enrollment form, or email directly to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Once Local 802 staff approves your profile, you can start taking referrals! Clients may contact you directly through the site, or the Local 802 Referral Service may suggest you to a client.
