NEW YORK, NY — Thursday, October 13, 2016 — NYC musicians’ union Local 802 AFM President Tino Gagliardi congratulates Bob Dylan, Local 802 member and major supporter of the Local 802 Musicians’ Emergency Relief Fund, on being awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature:

The Local 802 Musicians’ Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) provides critical assistance to hundreds of musicians in times of crisis a year. Since 1967, the ERF has been the place professional musicians can turn to for help in emergency situations, with crisis intervention including short-term counseling and early identification, referral and follow-up for alcohol and/or drug dependence counseling, advocacy and referrals for personal, career, family and relationship issues, legal aid and financial assistance, health services and housing issues.
