Associated Musicians of Greater New York, Local 802, AFM

Musicians are essential to the creative and cultural life of New York City. Yet now more than ever musicians face an uphill battle securing sustainable wages and benefits. Every day, Local 802 fights for the interests of its nearly 10,000 professional musicians and their families.

Local 802 is a union, but also a guild. If we want to preserve New York City’s status as the live music capital of the world, we must work together. With several historic campaigns already in action, we need your help to maintain momentum and continue to educate the public about the vital importance of live music.

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities depending on your interests and availability. Register to volunteer or contact Shane Gasteyer for more information at 212.245.4802 x143 or sgasteyer@local802afm.org.
