Collection Problems Persist at Dance Theatre of Harlem

Volume CII, No. 2February, 2002

The January issue of Allegro erroneously reported that all wages and benefits owed by the Dance Theatre of Harlem for two weeks of performances in October had been paid. While musicians have received full payment for the work, Local 802 has yet to receive work dues and benefits.

The total amount outstanding is $43,171.85, which consists of $6,046.30 in work dues, $28,216.05 in pension contributions and $8,909.50 in health benefits. The union will continue to pursue the monies owed to the full extent of the grievance procedures outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.
