Meeting called to order at 11:04 AM. Present: President Gagliardi, Financial Vice President Olcott, Recording Vice President O’Connor, Executive Board members Burridge, Covo, Cutler, Dougherty, Hyde, Schwartz, Sharman, Acting Assistant to the President Boyle.

It was moved and seconded to approve the October 4 minutes as corrected. Motion carried unanimously.

Recording Vice President O’Connor reported on Winter Jazz Festival negotiations.

President Gagliardi presented an invitation from the New York City Labor Chorus to purchase an ad in their annual journal. It was moved and seconded to purchase a $150 ad. Motion carried unanimously.

It was moved and seconded to approve $3,000 for legal fees associated with the arbitration of the “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” grievance. Discussion held. Motion carried unanimously.

Gagliardi reported on personnel matters at the New York City Ballet.

Gagliardi reported on Philadelphia Orchestra Association negotiations. Discussion held.

Financial Vice President Olcott requested annual salary adjustments for three Local 802 non-bargaining unit employees. It was moved and seconded to grant the request. Motion carried unanimously.

Olcott presented a solicitation for donations from Meals on Wheels. It was moved and seconded to donate $120 to Meals on Wheels. Discussion held. Motion carried unanimously.

Olcott reported on a newly drafted Local 802 petty cash policy. Discussion held. It was moved and seconded to approve the petty cash policy. Discussion held. Motion carried unanimously.

O’Connor presented invitations to a November 10 fundraiser for U.S. Labor Against the War. Discussion held.

Discussion held of an error made in an e-mail that was sent to the Local 802 membership e-mail mailing list.

Gagliardi called the Executive Board into executive session at noon. Acting Assistant to the President Boyle excused. Executive session ended at 12:10.

Acting Assistant to the President Boyle present. It was moved and seconded to grant approval to the New York City Ballet Orchestra to take a strike authorization vote. Discussion held. Motion carried unanimously.

Theatre Representative Friedman present. Friedman presented a workshop agreement with Empire the Musical Worldwide, LLC for the production of “Empire.” Discussion held.

Friedman presented a developmental lab agreement with Babington Productions, LLC for the developmental production of “Rocky.” Discussion held. Friedman excused.

It was moved and seconded to approve the workshop agreement with Empire the Musical Worldwide, LLC for the production of “Empire.” Motion carried unanimously.

It was moved and seconded to spend $6,000 for expenses for the Local 802 90th Anniversary Gala and Emergency Relief Fund fundraiser in accordance with Article III, Section 10 of the Local 802 Bylaws.

Meeting called to order at 11:04 AM by Financial Vice President Olcott. Present: Olcott, Recording Vice President O’Connor, Executive Board members Dougherty, Hyde, Roach, Schwartz, Sharman, Acting Assistant to the President Boyle. President Gagliardi excused on union business.

It was moved and seconded to approve the October 11 minutes as corrected. Motion carried unanimously.

Financial Vice President Olcott presented a request by the Interfaith Committee of Remembrance to pay public service rates for a concert to be held on October 22 at St. John the Divine. It was moved and seconded to grant the request. Discussion held. Motion carried unanimously.

Olcott reported on the financial state of the Local 802 Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) and necessary expenses for the 90th Anniversary Gala benefit for the ERF. Discussion held.

Recording Vice President O’Connor reported on negotiations with Jazz @ Lincoln Center and plans to launch a new phase of the campaign to win collective bargaining and pension benefits from New York City jazz clubs.

Olcott reported on Di Capo Opera negotiations. Discussion held.

O’Connor presented a collective bargaining agreement with Search and Restore covering the Winter Jazz Festival. Discussion held. It was moved and seconded to approve the agreement with Search and Restore. Motion carried unanimously.

Executive Board member Schwartz asked for volunteers to make phone calls to invitees to the 90th Anniversary Gala benefit for the ERF.
