Meeting called to order at 11:11 A.M. by President Gagliardi. Present in person: Recording Vice President Mars, Financial Vice President Fisher, Executive Board Members Cohen and Namkung. Present by video conference: Executive Board Members Assael, Cutler, Kainuma and Phillips.

Minutes of the September 13, 2022 meeting were reviewed by the Executive Board.

Motion made and seconded to approve the minutes of the September 13, 2022 meeting, as corrected.

Motion made and seconded to approve Local 802’s purchase of tickets for the New York State AFL-CIO’s annual labor celebration and advertisement in the New York State AFL-CIO annual labor celebration’s journal for a total cost of $800.

Gagliardi reported on status of the Withum audit.

Motion made and seconded to approve the expenditure of $22,934 for legal services rendered by Cohen, Weiss and Simon during the month of August.

Gagliardi reported on the completion of David Geffen Hall’s renovations and his attendance at a New York Philharmonic rehearsal in David Geffen Hall.

Gagliardi reported that New York City Opera’s memorandum of agreement with Local 802 had been ratified.

Fisher reported on the rescheduling of Local 802’s Classical Musicians’ forum.

Mars reported on negotiations between club date employers and Local 802.

Mars reported that an agreement had been reached with John Batiste requiring payment of musicians who were not reengaged to perform Batiste’s American Symphony at Carnegie Hall.

Mars reported on a labor coalition rally that occurred at the New School.

Mars reported that an agreement been reached with the City of New York for the continuation of its “Music for the Soul” program.

Gagliardi reported that an Off Broadway production had closed and that payments were owed to musicians by that production.

Gagliardi reported that a musician’s instrument had been damaged during an Off Broadway production.

Motion made and seconded to approve the use of Local 802 public service scales for the October 23, 2022 performance of the Local 802 Senior Orchestra at Carnegie Hall.

Motion made and seconded to approve the September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2025 memorandum of agreement between New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players and Local 802.

Mars reported on a meeting with SL Green and Berlin Rosen regarding a proposal for licensing a new casino in Times Square.

Meeting called to order at 11:11 A.M. by Financial Vice President Fisher. Present by video conference: President Gagliardi, Executive Board Members Assael, Cohen and Kainuma.

Gagliardi reported on a meeting with Josh Groban concerning his possible removal from the AFM’s unfair list.

Gagliardi reported that a Memorandum of Agreement had been entered into between Trevor Off Broadway LLC and Local 802 covering the production of “Trevor.”

Gagliardi reported that a Memorandum of Agreement had been reached between the Ballet Theatre Foundation, Inc. d/b/a American Ballet Theatre and Local 802 covering American Ballet Theatre rehearsal pianists.

Discussion held regarding Disney+’s streaming of Trevor: The Musical.

Gagliardi reported that a settlement agreement had been reached among the Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Greater Springfield, Berkshire County and Vermont Musician’s Association Local 171 and Local 802 concerning a production of “Row” at the Williamstown Theatre.

Gagliardi reported that a collective bargaining agreement had been reached among the Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Greater Springfield, Berkshire County and Vermont Musician’s Association Local 171 and Local 802 for the period June 10, 2022 through July 31, 2024.

Mars reported on a meeting with the Jazz at Lincoln Center bargaining unit musicians concerning upcoming negotiations.

Mars reported that an agreement had been reached for the payment of outstanding union dues owed by the Jazz at Lincoln Center bargaining unit musicians.

Mars reported on a meeting with the DCI orchestra negotiation committee.

Mars reported on negotiations between Big Apple Circus and Local 802.

Mars reported on the withdrawal of internal charges filed against a Local 802 musician.

Mars reported that a license agreement was being negotiated to permit Local 802’s contractor to have access to property adjacent to the Local 802 building so that necessary repairs could be made to the Local 802 building.

Mars reported that the Local 802 building committee was investigating the feasibility of installing solar panels on Local 802’s roof.

Fisher reported that the Memorandum of Agreement between the Center for Contemporary Opera and Local 802 had been ratified.

Fisher reported on negotiations between Orchestra Lumos and Local 802.

Fisher reported on the cancelation of a New Jersey Festival Orchestra concert due to anticipated rain.

Fisher reported on negotiations between the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and Local 802.
