tanimotoI joined the union so that I could participate in more musical activities in New York. My goal is to become an active performer and teacher of early music in New York City. My most favorite recent gig was a performance and teaching opportunity in Cumberland, Maryland, with one of the great early music pioneers, Lyle Nordstrom. I was first introduced to Lyle while I was a grad student at the Eastman School of Music. My principal instrument is the viola da gamba, also known as the viol.
