I joined Local 802 to be a part of New York’s professional music community and for the benefits of being part of a union, including both union resources and professional status. My goal in NYC is to continue to explore musical opportunities, genres and experiences, and to find new musical adventures. My most favorite recent gig was playing in an international theatre festival in Tbilisi, in the Republic of Georgia. I wrote and performed music for a theatre piece for the festival, which brings together productions from many countries to the former Soviet republic. Music is an essential art and form of expression and sharing. It is a way of finding inner truth as well as being entertainment and an expression of joy. My primary instrument is violin and I also play mandolin and guitar.
