I joined Local 802 to pursue my music career in Manhattan after graduating with my master’s degree from Northwestern University. I earned my B.Mus. degree from Juilliard and am excited to be returning back to New York. I am very fond of opera orchestras, symphonic work, musical theatre, solo work and chamber music. I recently played with the wonderful New York City Opera in its production of “Pigmalion” – I really enjoyed working with them! I started viola at the age of 10; my mother is an opera singer and I’ve been surrounded by music my whole life. I was involved in musical theatre throughout my childhood into high school, but decided that the viola was my true passion. Music has always been a way to express myself and I can’t imagine my life without it. I believe that music can positively impact everyone’s lives. I teach private violin and viola lessons to all ages, I perform with the Narnia Arts Festival in Italy in its opera productions every July, and I am an associate member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. I also do jazz and classical gigs around Chicago.
