Chorus 802 Makes Donation to Emergency Relief Fund

Volume CII, No. 9September, 2002

On May 24 a committee from Chorus 802, Local 802’s chorus-in-residence, presented Vice-President Erwin Price with a contribution to the Musicians’ Emergency Relief Fund, as a token of appreciation to the union. The chorus is led by 802 member Ralph William Zeitlin, and holds its rehearsals and performances at the 802 building.

Chorus 802 is open to anyone wishing to participate. It’s most recent concert, on May 10, was a presentation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience. The next program, on December 6, will feature great opera choruses. There will also be a vocal showcase for chorus members on October 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Club Room. Auditions for both will take place on September 17 at Local 802.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:45 till 8:45. If you are interested in joining, call Robert Murtha at (212) 866-7953, evenings after 8 p.m.
