Meeting called to order at 11:10 AM. Present: President Gagliardi, Financial Vice President Olcott, Recording Vice President O’Connor, Executive Board members Burridge, Brandford, Cutler, Dougherty, Hyde, Kruvand, Roach, Sharman, Assistant to the President Boyle.

It was moved and seconded to approve the March 20 minutes as corrected. Motion carried unanimously.

Executive Board member Schwartz present at 11:18. President Gagliardi reported that the Metropolitan Opera Staff collective bargaining agreement was ratified. Discussion held.

Gagliardi reported on New York Philharmonic Extra and Substitute matters. Discussion held.

Gagliardi reported on the joint New York Conference of Musicians and the New England Conference of Musicians meetings. Discussion held.

Financial Vice President Olcott requested annual salary adjustments for two Local 802 non-bargaining unit employees.It was moved and seconded to grant the request. Motion carried unanimously.

Olcott presented a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Little Orchestra Society. Discussion held. It was moved and seconded to approve the MOA. Motion carried unanimously.

Recording Vice President O’Connor presented an invitation to the annual Heart to Heart awards presentation to benefit Encore Community Services. Discussion held.

O’Connor requested payment of an invoice in the amount of $18,211 from Geto & de Milly Media Services for Facebook advertising for the Justice for Jazz Artists campaign. It was moved and seconded to pay the bill. Discussion held. Motion carried. Roach opposed.

O’Connor distributed a letter from the Occupy Wall Street Labor Outreach Committee, a group of more than forty New York City unions, which is planning a march on May 1 to highlight labor issues and wealth disparity in conjunction with Occupy Wall Street and other coalitions. It was moved and seconded that Local 802 endorse the May 1 march organized by the Occupy Wall Street Labor Outreach Committee. Discussion held. Motion carried unanimously.

Local 802 Theatre Representative Friedman present. Friedman presented a reading agreement with Town Square Productions for “Disenchanted: Bitches of the Kingdom.” Discussion held. Friedman excused. It was moved and seconded to approve the reading agreement with Town Square Productions. Motion carried unanimously.

Discussion held on Occupy Wall Street.

It was moved and seconded to purchase a $150 ticket to the annual Heart to Heart awards presentation on May 20 to benefit Encore Community Services. Motion carried. Burridge opposed.

Local 802 Concert Representative Fisher present. Fisher presented an MOA with the Gotham Chamber Orchestra (GCO). Discussion held. Fisher excused. Discussion continued. It was moved to approve the MOA with GCO. Motion failed for lack of a second.

1:02 Executive Board recessed. 1:12 Executive Board reconvened.

Local 802 Theatre Representative Copeland present. Gagliardi presented an MOA with Do Jump Extremely Physical Theatre (DJEPT) for the production of AHHH HA! Discussion held. Copeland excused. It was moved and seconded to approve the MOA with DJEPT. Discussion held. Motion carried unanimously.

Assistant to the President Boyle reported on Music Bills, the initiative to highlight Broadway pit musicians to Broadway audiences. Discussion held.

Discussion held on Local 802 Executive Board compensation.

Gagliardi and Executive Board member Hyde reported on a meeting of Local 802 Health Benefits Plan union trustees to discuss implications for the plan in light of the full implementation of the Affordable Care Act in 2014. Discussion held. Executive Board member Cutler excused at 2:10.

Meeting called to order at 11:05 AM. Present: President Gagliardi, Financial Vice President Olcott, Recording Vice President O’Connor, Executive Board members Burridge, Brandford, Dougherty, Hyde, Kruvand, Roach, Schwartz, Sharman.

It was moved and seconded to approve the March 27 minutes as corrected. Motion carried unanimously.

President Gagliardi reported on New York City Ballet matters.

Gagliardi reported on the failure of the producers of “Once” to submit auxiliary payroll reports or validation forms for their employed actor/musicians.

Gagliardi reported on a letter received from Diversified Media Enterprises requesting a radio interview on Workers Independent News.

Discussion held on recent media attention to Local 802’s live music campaigns.

Gagliardi reported on the recent Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) merger ratification. Discussion held.

Gagliardi reported on the scheduled “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” arbitration. Discussion held.

Financial Vice President Olcott reported on completion of New York Pops negotiations.

Olcott reported on an instrumental ensemble called Mimesis that has booked a concert at Carnegie Hall and is paying musicians at minimums below legal minimum wage. Discussion held.

Olcott reported on Gotham Chamber Orchestra negotiations.

Recording Vice President O’Connor reported on upcoming Single Engagement Club Date negotiations.

O’Connor requested a salary adjustment for a Local 802 Business Rep/Organizer who has been promoted to Senior Business Rep/Organizer. It was moved and seconded to grant the request. Motion carried unanimously.

O’Connor requested an expenditure of $4,505 for replacement of the Local 802 building first floor air conditioner compressor. It was moved and seconded to grant the request. Motion carried unanimously.

O’Connor reported on needed repairs to the Local 802 building front doors and requested $3,756.19. It was moved and seconded to grant the request. Motion carried unanimously.

Discussion held on New York state post production film tax credits.

Local 802 Principal Business Rep David Sheldon present. Gagliardi distributed recommendations and guidelines for Off Broadway limited pressing recordings. Discussion held. Sheldon presented Off Broadway Limited Pressing Agreements for the PS Classics recording of “Merrily We Roll Along” and the Sh-K-Boom Records, Inc. recording of “Pipe Dream.” Discussion held. Sheldon excused. It was moved and seconded to approve the Limited Pressing Agreement with PS Classics. Motion carried unanimously. It was moved and seconded to approve the Limited Pressing Agreement with Sh-K-Boom Records, Inc. Motion carried unanimously.

Local 802 Theatre Representative Copeland present. Gagliardi excused at 12:33. Olcott assumed the chair. Copeland presented a Developmental Production Agreement (DPA) with Bedo Productions for the production of “Motown.” Discussion held. Gagliardi present at 12:37. Copeland excused. Gagliardi resumed the chair. It was moved and seconded to approve the DPA with Bedo Productions. Motion carried unanimously.

Discussion held on possible changes necessary to the Local 802 Health Benefits Plan in light of full implementation of the Affordable Care Act in 2014.
