NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ARTS EDUCATORS

A grievance between the union and the National Association of Arts Educators, based in Gettysburg, Pa., was settled on June 29. The dispute arose after the employer cancelled a performance of Pirates of Penzance within 48 hours of the concert, which was to have taken place April 10. The settlement mandates that all musicians who lost work as a result of the cancellation will receive full pay, including pension and health contributions, for two rehearsals, with the payments to be made no later than Aug. 1. Four musicians informed the union that they lost work as a result of the cancellation.
