Let’s Pitch in to Help Musicians!

Emergency Relief Fund

Volume CVII, No. 11November, 2007

If you’ve ever been in need – or known a musician who’s needed help – Local 802’s Emergency Relief Fund is there for you.

For 40 years, we’ve been raising money for the fund by printing an annual publication containing advertisements and greetings from businesses and colleagues.

Since requests for aid have increased in recent years, for the first time, we are now asking Local 802 members to buy space in the Benefit Journal.

Buying an ad in the journal will directly help your fellow musicians and help the fund.

Fundraising and production of the journal are now handled within Local 802. A new brochure and letterhead have been designed and included in this year’s mailing campaign.

Also, the Benefit Journal is now linked to the 802 Web site, where the recently published 2006 edition may be viewed. (Click here to download, pdf format, 2.23MB)

We plan to make the journal even more contemporary, relevant and attractive.

We are all very confident that new support for the journal and the fund will ensure our ever-growing ability to serve the membership of Local 802.

To buy an ad in the Emergency Relief Fund Benefit Journal – which will directly help musicians and the fund itself – contact Robert Bander, the Journal coordinator, at Rbander@Local802afm.org or (212) 245-4802, ext. 187.
