LOCAL 802 MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Meeting called to order at 5:07PM by President Dan Point.
Present: President Point, Financial Vice President Fisher, Recording Vice President Haines, Executive Board members Bove, Burridge, Cutler, Goodfriend-Koven, Hyde, Kainuma, Trial Board members Axelrod, Herman, Korn, McSweeney, Odze, Seidner, Williams.
Motion made and seconded to adopt the agenda as presented by President Point.
Meeting agenda adopted without objection.
Opening remarks delivered by President Point.
Point reported on the 103rd AFM Convention and the joint Eastern and Southern Conference.
Point reported on ongoing Perelman Arts Center negotiations.
Quorum achieved at 5:17PM.
Point reported on ongoing negotiations with the Metropolitan Opera, including the orchestra, associates, and title callers.
Point reported on ongoing New York City Ballet negotiations.
Point reported on ongoing Roundabout Theatre Company negotiations.
Point reported on Local 802’s participation in the upcoming NYC Pride Parade.
Point reported on New York’s congressional primary results and local election results.
Point reported on the NY Music conference.
Point reported on multi-union coalitions working with NYC local politicians.
Point reported on TEMPO and TEMPO 802.
Point reported on the status of 802’s building.
Fisher reported on the AFM Convention.
Fisher reported on Local 802’s finances.
Fisher reported on finalizing Little Orchestra Society negotiations.
Fisher reported on finalizing Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center negotiations.
Haines reported on the AFM Convention.
Haines reported on an upcoming “Know Your Rights” training.

In response to questions, trustees Point and Hyde gave an update on the Health Fund.
Negotiating committee member Wells gave an update about the SRLA negotiations.
Point gave an update on a pension fund seminar at the Convention.
Motion made and seconded to extend the adjournment time to 6:30.
Motion passed unanimously.
In response to questions, Point gave an update about Local 802’s building.
FMA Vice President Kreienberg gave an update about the FMA.
Meeting adjourned at 6:26PM.
