I joined local 802 to become actively involved again in the NYC music scene after the disbandment of a 10 year music project. My musical goal in New York City is to be a pit musician on Broadway. My former gig was guitarist and musical director of “…And All That Jazz,” a vocal/instrumental cabaret jazz quartet that was developed in 1999 with my former wife, the vocalist Michelle Oram. My principal instruments are electric and classical guitar.

I joined Local 802 after having been a member of AFM Local 65-699 (Houston). I was music director for the Houston Ballet for 10 years, then spent 14 years on the road as music director of the third national tour of “Phantom of the Opera.” Then my wife, with whom I toured and worked, was offered the dance captain position with “Phantom” on Broadway, so it was off to New York for us both. It’s my hope that I can put down musical roots here in New York and enjoy working in musical theatre as much as I did on the road with the big difference of being able to sleep in my own bed nightly.
