‘Why we joined the union’

Volume 118, No. 1January, 2018

I re-joined Local 802 after a few years’ absence when I was focused on being a mostly stay-at-home dad in Connecticut. Now I’m ready to get to work! I’m hoping to get into some opportunities to freelance in NYC and elsewhere. I’m seeking like-minded, passionate musicians for creative collaborations with my group, the Badollet Ensemble. Most recently I performed with the world premiere of “The Most Beautiful Room in New York,” (with music by David Shire and orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick) at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven. Being a part of seeing how these two work was quite a privilege. After living and working in Boston for over 20 years, it has been a challenge to start over in a new area and balance teaching and performing – but I’m up for the challenge! I play trumpet, piccolo trumpet, flugelhorn and cornet.
